उन्होंने कहा - "बेटा कोई बात नहीं। कुछ और चीज बना कर ले आओ। चाय बाद में पी लेंगें। "रोहित दुबारा से किचन में गया। अबकी बार वह शांत मन से किचन में जाकर सोचने लगा कि ऐसा क्या बना सकता हूँ मैं, जो स्वादिष्ट हो और पिताजी के खाने लायक हो। कुछ देर सोचने के बाद उसने एक गिलास चीनी और नींबू का रस मिला कर शर्बत बनाया और पिताजी को दिया। उन्हें वह काफी पसंद आया। शर्बत पीने के बाद उन्होंने रोहित को समझाया - "बेटा, जिस तरह से आज तुमने दिमाग लगा कर मेहनत किया और इतना स्वादिष्ट शर्बत बनाया। इसी प्रकार से तुम भी अपनी मेहनत को दिशा दो। जब भी तुम किसी एक ही दिशा में कदम बढ़ाते हो, तो तुम्हारे सामने सीमित संसाधन रह जाते हैं। तुम्हारा मन भी सीमाओं में बंध जाता है, लेकिन जब मन में ठान लेते हो कि मुझे जीवन में कुछ करना है, तो तुम्हारे सामने संभावनाओं के असीमित रास्ते खुल जाते हैं, जिन पर तुम अपनी क्षमता को पहचान कर आगे बढ़ सकते हो और अपनी मंजिल तक पहुंच सकते हो। अतः निराशा छोड़ो और अपने मेहनत को सही दिशा देने का प्रण करो। तुम्हें तुम्हारी मंजिल अवश्य मिलेगी। पिताजी की बात सुनकर रोहित के मन की सारी निराशा दूर हो गयी और उसके चेहरे पर आत्मविश्वास झलकने लगा।
