           कई बार हमारे साथ भी इस होता है। हमसे कोई गलती जाने-अनजाने में हो जाती है और बाद में हम इस बात पर अफसोस जताते हुए सारा दोष खुद पर मढ़ लेते हैं। ऐसे में हमें खुद को क्षमा करना सीखना होगा, वरना ज़िंदगी बेजान हो जायेगी। यदि आपको भी किसी चीज का अपराध बोध है, तो भगवान से इसके लिए माफी मांग लें। उनके सामने जाएं और एकांत में बैठ कर अपनी गलती उन्हें बताएं। यह महसूस करें कि भगवान ने आपको माफ कर दिया है। अगर आपको इससे भी सुकून न मिले, तो प्रायश्चित के तौर पर किसी जरूरतमंद की मदद कर दें। 

             जिस व्यक्ति के साथ अपने अनजाने में बुरा किया है, अगर उसकी ही मदद कर देंगे, तो यह और ज्यादा बेहतर होगा। अगर आप उस व्यक्ति से खुद माफी मांग सकते हैं, तो इससे अच्छा उपाय और कोई नहीं। हालांकि कई बार मकफी देने वाला व्यक्ति हमारी पहुंच में नहीं होता, इसलिए बेहतर है कि हम भगवान से माफी मांग लें और खुद को भी माफ कर दें।
