Whenever I ask a child what do you want to be when you grow up? He replies, 'I want to be rich.' It is understandable when it comes to children, but many youths also give similar answers. They are not able to give any exact answer that what they want to become? Your goal is not fixed by speaking doctor, engineer or businessman. Nor will you be able to reach the goal set like this. The goal can be reached only when your goal is absolutely accurate. You tell me what to become a doctor of? Want to become an oncologist or an ophthalmologist? Which one to become an engineer? Mechanical Engineer or Civil Engineer? If you want to become a businessman, then what business should you do? That means you should be able to speak your goal clearly.
When you make a precise goal, then only you can choose the way to reach it. If you sit in a taxi, you cannot say, 'Brother, start the taxi and take it around.' You have to tell him the place. Only then he will be able to take you there. Remember friends, these confusing goals will not give you direction. These goals spoken in the air will not give you creative ideas.
One thing to know is to set a limit for each goal. It is a matter to think, it is not necessary to run only in the race. In this it is also necessary to touch the finishing line. You have to draw your own finishing line. That's why keep your goal such that you can count and measure it. The most important thing is to set goals that you can achieve. This does not mean setting easy goals. This means that don't set goals that are too strange to reach. If your voice is like a torn bamboo, then you cannot aim that I will become the best singer in the world. When you aim beyond your potential, you don't get it and you slowly start getting frustrated.

सटीक लक्ष्य ही आपको रास्ता दिखायेगा।
जब भी मैं किसी बच्चे से पूछता हूँ कि आपको बड़ा हो कर क्या बनना है? वह जवाब देता है, 'मुझे अमीर बनना है।' बच्चों की बात तो समझ में भी आती है, लेकिन कई युवा भी ऐसा ही जवाब देते हैं। वे कोई सटीक जवाब नहीं दे पाते कि उन्हें बनना क्या है? डॉक्टर, इंजीनियर या बिजनेसमैन बोल देने से आपका लक्ष्य तय नहीं हो जाता। ना ही ऐसे तय किये लक्ष्य तक आप पहुंच सकेंगे। लक्ष्य पर तो तभी पहुंचा जा सकेगा, जब आपका लक्ष्य बिल्कुल सटीक हो। आप बताएं कि किस चीज का डॉक्टर बनना है? कैंसर रोग विशेषज्ञ बनना है या नेत्र रोग विशेषज्ञ? कौन-सा वाला इंजीनियर बनना है? मैकेनिकल इंजीनियर या सिविल इंजीनियर? बिजनेसमैन बनना है, तो किस चीज का बिज़नेस करना है? यानी कि आपको आपका लक्ष्य क्लियर बोलते आना चाहिए।
जब आप एक सटीक लक्ष्य बना लेते हैं, तभी आप उस तक पहुंचने का रास्ता चुन पाते हैं। अगर आप किसी टैक्सी में बैठेंगे तो आप ये नहीं कह सकते कि 'भाई, टैक्सी चालू कर दो और घुमाओ।' आपको उसे जगह बतानी होगी। तभी वह आपको वहां पहुंचा पायेगा। याद रहे दोस्तों, ये कंफ्यूज से गोल आपको दिशा नहीं देंगे। हवा में बोले गये ये गोल आपको क्रिएटिव आईडिया नहीं देंगे।
एक जाननेवाली बात यह है कि हर लक्ष्य की एक सीमा तय करें। सोचनेवाली बात है, रेस में केवल भागना जरूरी नहीं होता। इसमें फिनिशिंग लाइन को छूना भी जरूरी होता है। आपको आपकी फिनिशिंग लाइन खुद बनानी होगी। इसलिए अपना गोल ऐसा रखें, जिसे आप काउंट कर सकें, नाप सकें। सबसे जरूरी बात यह है कि लक्ष्य ऐसे बनाएं, जो आप पा सकें। इसका मतलब ये नहीं है कि आसान लक्ष्य तय करें। इसका मतलब यह है कि लक्ष्य इतना अजीब भी तय न करें कि कभी न पा सकें। अगर आपकी आवाज फटे बांस जैसी है, तो आप ये लक्ष्य नहीं बना सकते कि मैं वर्ल्ड का बेस्ट सिंगर बनूंगा। जब आप अपनी क्षमता से दूर का लक्ष्य बनाते हैं, तो आपको वह नहीं मिलता और आप धीरे-धीरे निराश होना शुरू कर देते हैं।

💐 जब आप सटीक लक्ष्य बनाते हैं, तो आपको आपका रास्ता साफ नजर आने लगता है। आप टाइम-टेबल बना कर धीरे-धीरे चलना शुरू कर देते हैं।
💐 लक्ष्य तय हो जाने के बाद आप समय सीमा निर्धारित करें कि कितने वक़्त में आप उस लक्ष्य तक पहुंचेंगे। ऐसा करने से आप बेहतर काम कर सकेंगे।
