Do not waste life after a few years.

चंद सालों के पीछे ज़िंदगी बर्बाद न करें।

पिछले दिनों एक लड़की के बारे में पता चला। सुमन (परिवर्तित नाम) एक लड़के के साथ दो साल से रिलेशन में है। शुरुवाती दिनों में तो लड़के ने बहुत वादे किये, प्यार किया, घुमाया - फिराया, लेकिन अब वह सुमन को मारता भी है और डाँटता भी है। वह अपने दोस्तों के सामने ही सुमन का अपमान करता है। सुमन यह सब सहती है, क्योंकि वह उसे प्यार करती है। उसे लग रहा है कि वह उस लड़के को अपने प्यार से सुधार देगी। सुमन के एक दूसरे दोस्त ने जब उस लड़के के बारे में पता लगाया, तो सामने आया कि वह लड़का ठीक नहीं है। उसने यह बात सुमन को भी समझायी, लेकिन उसका कहना है, 'मैंने दो साल इस रिश्ते में इन्वेस्ट किये हैं। मेरी ज़िंदगी बर्बाद हो गयी है। अब मैं किसी और से शादी भी नहीं कर पाउंगी। मुझे कब इसी के साथ जीवन गुजारना है। मैं उसे ही शादी के लिए मनाऊंगी। भले ही वह मुझे मारे, डांटे। मैं सब कुछ सहन कर लूंगी।

                सुमन की तरह ऐसी कई लड़कियां हैं, जो अपने प्रेमी या पति के दुर्व्यवहार को सहन करती रहती हैं। उन्हें लगता है कि हमने दो साल, पांच साल, दस साल इन्वेस्ट किये हैं। अब नए सिरे से ज़िंदगी शुरू नहीं की जा सकती। अब हमें ऐसे ही रहना होगा। घुट-घुट कर, मर-मर कर। लेकिन वे सभी लड़कियां शायद उन महिलाओं से नहीं मिली हैं, जिन्होंने अपने जीवन के 15 साल किसी को दिये, लेकिन जब अन्याय हुआ, तो दोबारा नये सिरे से ज़िंदगी शुरू की और आज सुखी हैं।

        दरअसल, यह बात हम सभी पर लागू होती है। हम में से कई लोग किसी रिश्ते में, किसी नौकरी में, किसी बिज़नेस में, किसी कोर्स में जब कुछ साल इन्वेस्ट कर लेते हैं, तो हम उसे छोड़ने से डरने लगते हैं। यह जाहिर सी बात है कि साल इन्वेस्ट करना कोई आसान बात नहीं है। इसे छोड़ने में और दूसरी चीज को नये सिरे से शुरू करने में वक़्त लगता है, लेकिन हमें यह भी सोचना होगा कि एक तरफ इन्वेस्ट किये हुए चंद साल हैं और दूसरी तरफ आगे पड़ी पूरी ज़िंदगी। चंद सालों का इन्वेस्टमेंट बर्बाद हो जायेगा, इस डर से क्या हम अपनी पूरी ज़िंदगी ऐसे जी सकते हैं?
