The boss asked - "Who all are in your house?"

Ramsharan said - "I, my wife, my son and my elder brother's daughter."

The boss asked - "Does elder brother's daughter also live with you?"

Ramsharan said- "Sir! Elder brother lives in the village. Earning is not enough to give good education to his daughter. So I brought her with me. I teach her. If she lives in the village, she will sweep people's houses."

The boss asked -" Is everything done properly in your salary? Teaching, feeding and feeding two children etc?"

Ramsharan said - Sir!" It doesn't happen well, but I understand it as the will of the above."

After leaving Ramsharan, he started thinking that he is happy in such a low salary. I have everything today but I am always worried. After all, why not be happy like this?

Boss came home. Kept thinking this all night. While thinking, suddenly he got the answer.

Woke up in the morning Reached office after having tea and breakfast.

  As soon as he reached the office, Ramsharan came to his cabin with a tray of tea.

The boss said - "Ramsharan, I got a lot of knowledge from a small conversation I had with you yesterday. I got the basic mantra of life from you yesterday and that is "Santosh". What is in you, not in me. The greed within me has taken away my happiness. The wealth of satisfaction is the biggest wealth."

Ramsharan said - Yes sir!" Whenever we get, whatever we get, whatever we get, wherever we get, we should be happy in that. It is our wish only in his will."

And after saying this, he took the tray of tea and went to another cabin.

"संतोष धन ही सबसे बड़ा धन है।"

 बॉस के केबिन में जब चपरासी ने चाय का प्याला रखा तो बॉस ने आखिर पूछ ही लिया-"रामशरण 

मैं जब भी तुम्हें देखता हूं तुम हमेशा प्रसन्न मुद्रा में रहते हो। हमेशा हंस कर बात करते हो। दफ्तर के बाकी किसी भी कर्मचारी को इतना खुश नहीं देखता हूं।

रामशरण ने कहा-" सर! जब मैं गांव से यहां नौकरी करने शहर आया तो पिताजी ने कहा कि बेटा भगवान जिस हाल में रखे उसमें खुश रहना। तुम्हें तुम्हारे कर्म अनुरूप ही मिलता रहेगा। उस पर भरोसा रखना। इसलिए सर जो मिलता है मैं उसी में खुश रहता हूं।"

बॉस ने पूछा-" कौन-कौन हैं तुम्हारे घर में?"

रामशरण ने कहा-" मैं, मेरी पत्नी, मेरा बेटा और मेरे बड़े भाई की बेटी।"

बॉस ने पूछा-"बड़े भाई की बेटी भी तुम्हारे साथ रहती है?"

रामशरण ने कहा- "सर! बड़े भाई गांव में रहते हैं। कमाई इतनी नहीं कि अपनी बेटी को अच्छी शिक्षा दे सके। अतः मैं उसे अपने साथ ले आया। उसे पढ़ाता हूं। गांव में रहेगी तो लोगों के घर झाड़ू पोछा करेगी।"

बॉस ने पूछा-" तुम्हारी पगार में क्या सब ठीक से हो जाता है? दो बच्चों को पढ़ाना, खिलाना- पिलाना वगैरह?"

रामशरण ने कहा- सर!" अच्छी तरह तो नहीं होता लेकिन ऊपर वाले की यही मर्जी समझ चला लेता हूं।"

रामशरण के जाने के बाद वह सोचने लगे की इतनी कम पगार में यह खुश रहता है। मेरे पास आज सब कुछ है लेकिन मैं हमेशा चिंतित रहता हूं। आखिर इसकी तरह खुश क्यों नहीं रहता?

बॉस घर आ गए। रात भर यही सोचते रहे। सोचते सोचते अचानक उन्हें जवाब मिल गया।

सुबह उठे। चाय नाश्ता कर कार्यालय पहुंच गए।

 कार्यालय पहुंचते ही रामशरण चाय की ट्रे लिए उनकी केबिन में आया।

बॉस ने कहा-" रामशरण कल तुमसे हुए छोटे से वार्तालाप से मुझे बहुत बड़ा ज्ञान मिला है। तुमसे मुझे कल जीवन का मूल मंत्र मिला है और वह है "संतोष"। जो तुम में है, मुझ में नहीं। मेरे अंदर के लोभ ने मेरी प्रसन्न्ता छीन ली है। संतोष धन ही सबसे बड़ा धन है।"

रामशरण ने कहा- हां सर!"जब भी मिले, जितना मिले, जैसा मिले, जहां भी मिले उसी में प्रसन्न रहना चाहिए। बस उसी की मर्जी में हमारी मर्जी।"

और इतना कहकर चाय की ट्रे लिए वह दूसरे दूसरे केबिन में चला गया।
