Strength is life, weakness is death.

Thousands of laborers used to work here with a big snooter. Once the workers of that area went on strike with their demands. The strike went on for months. As a result, the workers started starving and went to other settlements to earn a living, but the poor laborers from other settlements came to these settlements. The contractor was always on the lookout for people who could complete his contract work.

              One day he came and stood at the intersection of the labor colony. Then a laborer came there with a spade on his shoulder. The contractor asked him- Will you get wages? The worker replied, 'Ten rupees.' The contractor said to him, "Okay, go and go and start digging mud for my brick kiln."

               After this another worker came there, the contractor also asked him for wages. He said that I will take 50 rupees. The contractor sent him to dig coal in the mine.

              The third worker gave a wage of 100 rupees with great force. The contractor sent him to the diamond mine. In the evening all three arrived to take wages. The first dug 100 baskets of soil, the second took 10 mana of coal and the third got a diamond. When the wages were placed on the hands of the three, the first worker started getting angry after seeing 100 rupees in the hands of the third worker. The contractor said - you had fixed your wages. The one who had the power and desire, he gave the same amount of wages and everyone has done the work accordingly. Hearing this, the first worker fell silent.

                The essence of this story is that power is life, weakness is death. That is, we should be optimistic. One must recognize one's own abilities and act accordingly. In this story, all three workers worked equally hard, but the work place of all three was different, which makes a difference in them. At the same time, all three rated their abilities differently. Because of this, one got less, the other got more money.

शक्ति ही जीवन है, दुर्बलता ही मृत्यु है।

एक बहुत बड़े ठीकेदार के यहाँ हज़ारों मज़दूर काम करते थे। एक बार उस क्षेत्र के मजदूरों ने अपनी मांगो को लेकर हड़ताल कर दी। महीनों हड़ताल चलती रही। इसका परिणाम यह हुआ कि मजदूर भूखे मरने लगे और रोजी-रोटी कमाने के लिए दूसरी बस्तियों में चले गये, लेकिन दूसरी बस्तियों के गरीब मज़दूर इन बस्ती में आ पहुंचे। ठेकेदार नित्य ही ऐसे लोगों की तलाश में रहता था, जो उसके ठेके का काम पूरा कर सकें।

              एक दिन वह मज़दूर बस्ती के चौराहे पर आ कर खड़ा हो गया। तभी एक मजदूर कंधे पर कुदाली रखे वहां आया। ठेकेदार ने उससे पूछा- क्या मज़दूरी लोगे? मज़दूर ने जवाब दिया, 'दस रूपये।' ठेकेदार ने उससे कहा, 'अच्छा ठीक है, जाओ और जा कर मेरे ईंटों के भट्ठे के लिए मिट्टी खोदने का काम शुरू कर दो।

               इसके बाद दूसरा मज़दूर वहां आया, ठेकेदार ने उससे भी मज़दूरी पूछी। वह बोला कि 50 रुपये लूंगा। ठेकेदार ने उसे खान में कोयला खोदने भेज दिया।

              तीसरे मज़दूर ने बड़े ताव से 100 रुपये मज़दूरी बतायी। ठेकेदार ने उसे हीरे की खान में भेज दिया। शाम को तीनों मज़दूरी लेने पहुंचे। पहले ने 100 टोकरी मिट्टी खोदी, दूसरे ने 10 मन कोयला निकाला और तीसरे को एक हीरा मिला। तीनों के हाथ पर जब मज़दूरी रखी गयी, तो पहला मज़दूर तीसरे मज़दूर के हाथ में 100 रुपये देख कर नाराज़ होने लगा। इस पर ठेकेदार बोला - तुम्हारी मज़दूरी तुमने ही तय की थी। जिसमे जितनी शक्ति और इच्छा थी, उसने उतनी मज़दूरी बतायी और सभी ने काम उसी के अनुरूप किया है। यह सुन कर पहला मज़दूर चुप हो गया।

                इस कहानी का सार यह है कि शक्ति ही जीवन है, दुर्बलता ही मृत्यु है। यानी हमें आशावादी होना चाहिए। खुद की क्षमताओं को पहचानना चाहिए और उसके अनुसार ही कार्य करना चाहिए। इस कहानी में तीनों ही मज़दूरों ने समान मेहनत की, लेकिन तीनों के कार्य का स्थान अलग-अलग था, जो उनमे अंतर लाता है। साथ ही तीनों ने अपनी काबिलियत को अलग-अलग आंका। इसकी वजह से एक को कम, तो दूसरे को अधिक पैसा मिला।

शिक्षा:-

💐 खुद को कमतर न समझें। अपनी क्षमताओं और जरूरतों को पहचानें और उसके बाद ही अपने ककम की कीमत तय करें। बाद में न पछताएं।

💐 दूसरों की देखा-देखी भी अपनी कीमत तय न करें। कई बार ऐसा भी होता है कि हम उतना काम नहीं कर सकते, जितना सामनेवाला कर लेता है।
