             The speaker said that this happens when we work with a burden on us. Your attention was towards countdown, so when the questions were coming in between, you not only thought on that, but also wrote the first thing which came to mind and which was very common. This is also often the case with everyday work in the office. If our attention is divided then we carry out our work in a ruthless manner. At that time our priority is to finish work.         सभी ने लिखना शुरू कर दिया। 99, 98, 97...... बीच में उन्होंने सवाल किया, "आपका पसंदीदा फूल?" सभी ने जवाब लिखा और फिर उल्टी गिनती लिखनी शुरू कर दी। वक्ता ने दूसरा सवाल किया, "आपका पसंदीदा रंग?" सभी ने इस सवाल का जवाब लिखा और फिर गिनती लिखनी शुरू कर दी। इसके बाद वक्ता ने तीसरा सवाल किया, "आपका पसंदीदा फर्नीचर?" इस सवाल का जवाब लिखने के बाद सभी ने उल्टी गिनती लिखनी शुरू कर दी। दो मिनट में यह खेल समाप्त हो गया। उल्टी गिनती में कोई 60, कोई 50, तो  कोई 40 तक पहुंचा। अब वक्ता की बारी थी।

          वक्ता ने पूछा, "आपमें से कितने लोगों ने पसंदीदा फूल में गुलाब लिखा?" 90 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा लोगों ने हाथ उठाया। उन्होंने फिर पूछा, "कितने लोगों ने पसंदीदा रंग में लाल लिखा?" इसके जवाब में भी 90 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा लोगों ने हाथ उठाया। उन्होंने फिर पूछा, "अच्छा कितने लोगों ने पसंदीदा फर्नीचर में टेबल-कुर्सी लिखा?" इस बार 95 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा लोगों ने हाथ ऊपर उठाया।

             वक्ता ने बताया कि ऐसा ही होता है, जब हम अपने साथ कोई बोझ रख कर काम करते हैं। आपका ध्यान उल्टी गिनती की तरफ था, इसलिए जब बीच में सवाल आ रहे थे, तो आपने उस पर सोचा ही नहीं, बल्कि जो दिमाग में सबसे पहले आया और जो बेहद कॉमन था, वह लिख डाला। ऑफिस में प्रतिदिन के कामकाज में भी हमलोगों के साथ प्रायः ऐसा ही होता है। अगर हमारे ध्यान बंटा रहता है तो हम अनमने ढंग से अपना काम पूरा करते हैं। उस समय हमारी प्राथमिकता काम खत्म करने की होती है। काम बेहतर हो या न हो, इससे फर्क नहीं पड़ता। जबकि ऐसा बिल्कुल नहीं होना चाहिए।

        कॉरपोरेट वर्ल्ड में जैसे-तैसे काम को पूरा कर देने का कोई फायदा नहीं है। ध्यान रहे कि ऐसा सिर्फ इसलिए होता है, क्योंकि हमारा ध्यान बंटा रहता है। जब भी आप कोई काम करें, तो खुद को उस काम के प्रति कंसन्ट्रेट करें। दिमाग में कोई और प्रेशर रहेगा, तो जाहिर तौर पर क्वालिटी पर प्रभाव पड़ेगा। ज्यादातर समय ऐसा होता है कि हमारे दिमाग में कुछ और चीजें चलती हैं और हम काम कुछ और कर रहे होते हैं। इसका कारण सिर्फ यही है कि हमारे पास प्लान नहीं होता। हम हर दिन का प्लान नहीं बनाते। जो काम हमारे पास आता है, हम पहले वही करने लगते हैं। काम करने की यह शैली हमें छोड़नी होगी।
